Who we are
About Welvaart Electrical
An electrical contracting business working across South Africa, with most work in Gauteng, and electrical compliance at the centre of what we do: inspecting and testing fixed installations, recording non-compliance clearly, and completing the corrective work when owners ask us to.
Welvaart Electrical was founded in 1983 by Barend Botha, who saw how hard it was for property owners in Gauteng to get a reliable electrical compliance certificate. Since then we have worked for homeowners, landlords, corporate buildings, contractors and transferring attorneys.
Our electricians bring 46 years of combined experience across single-phase and three-phase installations, and we are registered with the Electrical Contractors' Association and the Department of Labour.

How we work
Nothing hidden in the fee
The inspection fee covers inspection, testing and the certificate if the installation complies. Repairs are quoted separately, itemised.
No repairs without approval
You receive the findings and a quote first. Work only starts once you approve it in writing.
Findings you can actually read
Non-compliance is described in plain language alongside the technical record, so you know what it means for the property.
The certificate carries a name
A certificate is issued by the Registered Person who inspected and tested the installation, and it stays accountable to them.
